Thanksgiving is a time for taking stock of how much we have to be grateful for, yet the practice of gratitude is something we can do each and every day. Practicing gratitude has been shown to improve physical and psychological health, strengthen relationships and self-esteem, enhance empathy, reduce aggression, and even improve sleep. With all of these benefits we can be thankful for gratitude itself! Concerns about the environment and the future of our planet have become so widespread that we even have a new term for it, "eco-anxiety".
